“You can dream, create and build the most beautiful place in the world, but it takes people to make that dream a reality.” A quote well said by one of the most inspirational people throughout my life, Walt Disney. I learned that quote when I made my first real childhood dream come true and worked at Walt Disney World on the International College Program back in 1992. I’ve felt encouraged and motivated to live a lot of my life according to that quote since then.
Glennie Fairy is a dream, and by that I mean she literally came to me in a dream that I woke up from one morning. It was 2006. At that point all I knew is that one day I would create something called Glennie Fairy. In 2012 the words came to me. After some encouragement in 2016 I approached Natalie to illustrate. Now it’s 2021, after a bit of polishing and inspiration from nieces Evie and Ella here she is.
